These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and SLP Command ("we", "us", "our") governing your access to and use of the SLP Command mobile application and associated services (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account, you affirmatively accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the Service.
"Service" means the SLP Command mobile application, backend infrastructure, and all associated features (Reading, Listening, Writing, Speaking, Academy, Intelligence Dashboard, Adaptive Coach, Exam Simulation). "Content" means any text, audio, or other material submitted by a User through the Service. "AI Feedback" means automated evaluations, scores, transcriptions or estimated proficiency levels generated by artificial intelligence systems integrated into the Service. "Official Assessment" means a certified, binding evaluation of English language proficiency issued by an authorised examining body under the STANAG 6001 framework or an equivalent official qualification system.
SLP Command is an independent educational technology platform operated in Spain. We are not affiliated with NATO, any Ministry of Defence, any armed forces, or any official examining body. See Disclaimer.
The Service provides independent, self-directed educational preparation for STANAG 6001 / SLP-style English examinations. The Service does not: (a) issue any Official Assessment, certificate, or accreditation; (b) guarantee that use of the Service will result in passing any official exam; (c) substitute for evaluation by a certified human examiner. Estimated SLP levels, scores, readiness indicators and all AI Feedback are indicative, educational, and non-binding. You acknowledge that any academic, professional, administrative or career decision made in reliance on the Service is made at your sole discretion and risk.
You are responsible for all activity occurring under your account. You must notify us immediately at security@slpcommand.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
Speaking and Writing feedback is generated using OpenAI Whisper (speech-to-text) and GPT models (evaluation). AI Feedback may contain errors, omissions, or inconsistencies. Processing of your Speaking audio for AI evaluation is based on your explicit, separately-obtained consent (see the Privacy Policy). You may withdraw this consent at any time by discontinuing use of the Speaking feature. See the Responsible AI Policy for the full transparency statement required under Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (the "AI Act").
You retain all ownership rights in the text and audio Content you submit. You grant SLP Command a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to process your Content solely to: generate AI Feedback; maintain your score history and progress records; power the Adaptive Coach and Intelligence Dashboard; and provide customer support in connection with content you submit through "Report a Problem". We do not use your Content to train or fine-tune artificial intelligence models, and we do not sell, license or otherwise commercially exploit your Content, without your prior explicit consent. You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to any Content you submit.
You agree to use the Service for lawful, personal, non-commercial study purposes only. You must not:
The Service, including its software, source code, question corpus, exercise content, audio assets, scoring algorithms, adaptive-learning methodology, dashboard design, and all associated trademarks, is the exclusive intellectual property of SLP Command and is protected under applicable intellectual property law. See the Intellectual Property Policy for full terms. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property right to you except the limited licence to use the Service as intended.
The Service is available on a Free plan and on a paid "SLP Command Professional" plan, offered as an auto-renewable subscription purchased through the Apple App Store.
SLP Command reserves the right to change the price applicable to future billing periods, or to introduce additional paid tiers; any such change will be presented to you through the App Store before it takes effect on you, and will never be applied retroactively to a period you have already paid for.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. SLP Command does not warrant uninterrupted, error-free, or continuously available operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with reasonable notice where practicable.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SLP Command shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of opportunity, loss of income, or adverse exam, employment, or administrative outcomes arising from your use of or reliance on the Service or any AI Feedback. SLP Command's total aggregate liability arising out of or related to these Terms shall not exceed the amount paid by you to SLP Command in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or EUR 100 if no amount has been paid. Nothing in this clause excludes or limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including mandatory EU and Spanish consumer-protection law.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. See Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your account, with notice where practicable, if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent or abusive conduct, or if required to do so by law. Sections 7, 9, 12 and 17 survive termination.
We may amend these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the Service or by email at least 15 days before taking effect, except where a shorter period is required by law or necessary to address a security issue. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Without prejudice to any mandatory jurisdiction applicable to you as a consumer under Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012, disputes shall be submitted to the courts of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain.
Because you download the app through the Apple App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies to your use of the app, alongside these Terms. These Terms govern the Service SLP Command provides (educational content, features, subscriptions, your account); the Apple Standard EULA governs your licence to use the app as software distributed through the App Store. If a specific provision of these Terms conflicts with a mandatory provision of the Apple Standard EULA or with Apple's own App Store terms, the provision required by the applicable platform terms or by mandatory law will prevail for that specific point, without affecting the validity of the remainder of these Terms.
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Responsible AI Policy, Cookie Policy, and Institutional Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and SLP Command regarding the Service (without prejudice to the Apple Standard EULA referenced in §16, which governs your licence to the app as distributed software). Failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver of that right.
